The Tamarindo Lifeguard program is working to guarantee the safety of locals and tourists in Playa Tamarindo.
Our lifeguards provide:
Lifeguard service every day from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. 365 days per year
Coordination of efforts with local police, paramedics, firefighters and the Red Cross
Lifesaving training courses in progress for local surf, aquatic and volunteer instructors
A Junior Lifeguard program for the youth of the community
CPR and first aid courses for the whole community

Objectives / Projects proposed:
Increase lifeguard coverage to include the southern end of Playa Tamarindo
Increased signage along the beach for surf currents, crocodiles, etc.
Get emergency transport on the beach (ATV and Jetski)
Continue working with the Costa Rican government to nationalize the lifeguard program.
